Description:HRIS/Payroll Analyst
Performs payroll, analysis, diagnostics, development, testing and documentation of various HR related systems and databases, including but not limited to UltiPro products, Cornerstone on Demand and SharePoint.
Payroll Administration
  • Responsible for all payroll functions and related timekeeping activities in accordance with both federal and state laws.
  • Administrator for multi-site, multi state payroll using UltiPro
  • Process, reconcile, audit and balance payroll for both exempt and non-exempt payrolls
  • Responsible for the coordination efforts between human resources department, finance, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
  • Resolve time and pay issues and propose resolutions
  • Track hour codes and corresponding pay rules.
  • Process requests for unscheduled pay and provide processing input (e.g., stop payment requests, manual checks, ancillary benefits).
  • Provide activated time-tracking information to employees.
  • Record and track year-end adjustment data, year-end vacation data, deduction code changes / additions, data required for special payments, and third-party data and send to the appropriate parties
  • Prepare and transmit annual W2 forms, tax filings, and ACA requirements
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Manage the configuration of data fields, transaction workflow and system security of HRIS and Administration Systems, including UltiPro, Cornerstone and SharePoint
  • Maintains proper configuration in HR systems, including business rules and workflow.
  • Performs moderately complex organizational management changes in UltiPro tools and ensures company structure is accurately reflected.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on HR system capabilities and participates in testing and deploying system and system-related process enhancements as needed.
  • May provide formal and informal training to other HR system end-users.
  • Develops and maintains documentation on key HRIS processes and system procedures.
  • Responsible for uploading basic data batches to HRIS or coordinating upload with vendor.
  • Participate in UltiPro conversion & optimization.
  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions.
  • Provide end user education regarding usage of the system, including new user training, and training to correct and prevent system usage errors.
  • Provide technical expertise and counsel to management, other functions regarding special projects personnel.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assist in ensuring the integrity of the HR/Benefits and UltiPro systems at all times.
  • Keep technically current on each upgrade or enhancement to any UltiPro
Project Management
  • Translate and prioritize requirements for assigned area project and maintenance work.
  • Serve as a primary interface with internal and external contributing organization relative to technical requirements, directions and problem resolution.
  • Maintain functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area’s systems, organization, and business processes.
  • Estimate costs and schedules; recommend solutions to problems, which arise during the course of a project.
  • Serves as liaison between Human Resources and Information Technology departments for system development and maintenance.
  • Records Maintenance Maintains accurate records, updates and monitors position control, retirement, salary and benefit related data.
  • Monitors recordkeeping procedures for accuracy; maintains mandated documents as required including salary schedules; prepares a variety of complex payroll related reports as mandated by county office, state, and federal regulations;
  • An Associate’s degree or equivalent training and education
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of payroll experience performing all payroll functions
  • Demonstrated ability to consolidate data from multiple systems to produce analytics.
