Viewpoint Vista Administrator / Network Support Candidates needed for a large industrial service company in the Pasadena, TX area.
Description:Pasadena, TX Industrial Service Company is looking to hire and experienced Network Support Technicians. Candidates for this direct hire job opportunity must have a Bachelor’s Degree and hold a CCNA, MCSE and Security+ certification. Candidates must have experience with Citrix XenApp, VM Ware and Linux
This position will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of critical IT systems and the Viewpoint Vista ERP system. This includes all network infrastructure components used in local and distributed corporate and domains. Duties include ensuring 24/7/365 access to all business-critical systems, applications and related network components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the duties and responsibilities listed below. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Maintain local and distributed networks, including servers, switches, power supplies, cabling, and associated network peripherals. Ensure system reliability, availability and integrity.
  • Maintain data, applications and hardware to ensure accessibility for all users 24/7/365. Ensure critical updates are applied to all servers, operating systems, hardware, and firmware and virus protection software.
  • Assist with maintenance and operation of the Viewpoint Vista ERP, ensuring 24/7/365 system availability and rapidly responding to issues that impact business operations.
  • Provide advanced technical support in network planning, design, engineering and architecture development.
  • Maintain local digital phone switches, voicemail servers and associated licenses. Collaborate with providers including Logix, AT&T and DataVox to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • As a secondary source of assistance following the Helpdesk, provide direct hardware, software and systems support to corporate and field personnel, as needed.
  • Provide systems training and advice to company personnel, as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information technology systems and processes, understand current technology trends and investigate future capabilities. Make recommendations for continuous improvement to ensure the use of leading edge capabilities.
  • Provide documentation for essential duties. Ensure documentation is updated as technologies or requirements evolve. Maintain all documentation on internal collaboration sites.
  • Provide project assistance, documentation, and special presentations as directed by the IT/Innovation Leader.
  • Attend Company training events or team meetings. Provide training or other presentations on new technologies and upcoming initiatives.
  • Three (3) years’ experience with Viewpoint Vista and MS SQL Server.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a network or computer systems support role.
  • Experience with Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems, iOS Devices, and common computer peripherals including printers, scanners and external storage devices.
  • Advanced knowledge of network transport protocols, connectivity and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Avaya phone systems, personal wireless communications devices, Wi-Fi systems, and peripheral devices.
Other Requirements:
  • Able to take ownership and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to effectively detail problems/bugs with in-house software and work toward resolution.
  • Able to maintain composure, patience, and demeanor, remaining pleasant and supportive while dealing with difficult or frustrated IT customers.
  • Able to travel as needed per company requirements.
